Comprised of three chalet style buildings, Residence le Hameau Saint Francois is situated 500 meters from the resort centre of Saint Francois Longchamp in the Maurienne valley. The complex features 61 apartments all of which have a bright modern decor with functional furniture and offer fully equipped kitchenettes with microwaves, hot plates, dishwashers and fridges, as well as cable TV. Most have balconies or terraces.
The front desk is manned by multilingual reception staff who can help with guests' queries, and cribs, sheets and towels are available to hire for a surcharge. Apartments are not cleaned daily but guests can purchase cleaning kits from reception; an end of stay cleaning service is also offered for a surcharge. Part of the Grand Domaine ski area, Saint Francois is spread over more than 3600 hectares and offers 165 kilometres of slopes, with the Valmorel station connecting Maurienne and Tarentaise valleys. The resort offers a crèche and an activity centre for children from three months to 12 years old. Activities in the area include bungee jumping, tours with dog sleds, paragliding, climbing and cross country skiing. There are also many activities in the evenings such as shows, concerts and a cinema. Geneva Airport is 140 kilometres away, an approximate driving time of 150 minutes. The Hameau de Saint Francois residence offers three types of apartments for between four and eight people, spread over three buildings. The majority of apartments have a balcony or a terrace. TVs and sheets can be rented. All apartments have a living room with sofa or pullout beds, kitchenette equipped with oven or microwave, four hot plates, dishwasher, refrigerator, a sleeping area for two people, and a bathroom with WC. The six person and seven or eight person apartments also have a two person bedroom, and the seven or eight person apartments have additional sleeping area for one or two people. Maid service is available for a fee. A city tax of .40 Euro will be collected at check in.
