Location. The towering oceanfront La Playa Resort, in the northern, quieter area of Daytona Beach, Fla., is across the street from the Bellair Plaza shopping center and within three miles of both the Ocean Center Convention Center and Ocean Walk Shoppes. The resort is less than 15 miles from the Daytona International Speedway.

The La Playa Resort strives to accommodate the needs of every guest by offering various amenities, including covered parking, a 24 hour front desk, laundry facilities and meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 300 people. The nine story hotel offers a outdoor pool, poolside tiki bar, indoor pool, children's pool, jetted tub, shuffleboard court and organized daily activities, including children's movies, poolside bingo, tie dyeing, beach walks, water aerobics and sand creations (surcharges may apply. Pineapple lamps, a symbol of hospitality, potted palms and ceiling fans create a tropical, relaxed ambience in the intimate lobby. Guests receive complimentary access to a fitness center less than three miles off site at a partner hotel.
Guestrooms. Each of the 238 guestrooms feature Caribbean décor, balconies with either beach or pool views, cable television and complimentary dial up Internet access. All of the accommodations have kitchenettes equipped with microwave ovens, refrigerators and coffeemakers. Efficiencies also have electric ranges, full size refrigerators, dinette areas and service for four. In room safes are available at an additional charge.
Expert Tip. The downtown Daytona Beach Historic District along the riverfront, offers a nostalgic experience. Riverfront Marketplace on Beach Street features unique shops and restaurants along a lush, palm line avenue. Beach Street is also home to Riverfront Park, Halifax Historical Museum, Angell and Phelps Chocolate Factory and antique malls.
