This Victoria, B.C. bed and breakfast guest house, located in Oak Bay on Vancouver Island, is a gracious old Victorian home built in 1912 in the Tudor half timbered style. It is the oldest continuously operating B&B in Victoria and possibly British Columbia. There have been return guests from 1942. The bed and breakfast has 11 guestrooms and two sitting rooms. The lower fireplace lounge, with its Inglenook fireplace, provides a cozy spot to relax in. The upper floor has sun room lounge overlooking the bridal garden with large comfortable chairs, sofas, a television, ferns and tropical plants, tea and coffee facilities, and an extensive library. The dining room offers a romantic restaurant setting with private tables. The guest house provides a complimentary four course breakfast. The private garden is the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day. Eleven charming rooms offer queen, double and twin beds with elegant decor, yet they are designed to make guests feel comfortable during their stay. All rooms have private baths and some have old fashioned claw footed tubs for that added luxury. Two deluxe studio suites are available. A sweeping staircase brings guests to six of the 11 rooms and the sun room lounge. The foyer welcomes guests into this gracious home. Each room is comfortably furnished with period wallpaper, carpeting and antique furniture. There are two twin bed rooms, two doubles, and seven queen bed rooms. The house also has two studio suites with sitting rooms and queen beds in the bedrooms.
