Location. Positioned four miles north of downtown Myrtle Beach, S.C., the Ocean Reef Resort is located in a quiet resort area. Shopping, dining and entertainment at the Broadway at the Beach complex is five miles away, and Barefoot Landing is six miles from the resort.
Features. The Ocean Reef Resort offers dining services at the Café du Port, which hosts a breakfast buffet and offers an a la carte menu. A pool bar serves drinks and light fare, and a full bar offers a big screen television and pool table. Business services, meeting rooms and event catering are available. The resort's indoor recreation complex features a 250 foot lazy river, freeform pool, children's water playground with mushroom shower and rain showers, two four person spa tubs and an eight person spa tub. An irregularly shaped, 115 foot long pool, children's pool and 12 person spa tub are available outside. Additional amenities include complimentary supervised children's activities in the summer, a fitness center with cardio machines and complimentary garage parking.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms and condos at this resort offer full oceanfront views or angled oceanfront views from private balconies. Units reflect informal ambience with light wood furnishings and vibrant toned fabrics. Refrigerators, microwave ovens and coffeemakers are included in all units, while larger accommodations feature kitchenettes or full kitchens. Cable television is provided.
Expert Tip. Guests receive playing privileges at the private Dunes Golf and Beach Club, located two and one quarter miles away. The golf club was constructed in 1947 and designed by Robert Trent Jones, and includes many of his favorite design features such as long tees, distinctive fairway bunkers and large elevated greens.
