Location. Location. Overlooking the deep blue waters of the Pacific, the Outrigger Royal Sea Cliff enjoys a location convenient to shopping, dining and entertainment in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. Part of the allure of the Big Island is its contrasting geology. Active volcanoes, shimmering waterfalls, snowcapped mountains, tropical rainforests, a glacial lake and miles upon miles of golden, black, white and even green sand beaches occupy an area smaller than the state of Connecticut. Guided walking tours of the historic Kailua Kona area make great daytime excursions, and there are plenty of recreational pursuits available, including snorkeling, scuba diving, horseback riding, kayaking, golfing and parasailing.
Hotel Features. The terraced front lawn provides panoramic views of the ocean with coconut palms looming overhead. Both saltwater and freshwater pools exist and, there is a six person jetted tub and changing rooms on site. The garden features fountains, ponds, waterfalls and benches, and there is a barbeque area on one of the terraces. Safe deposit boxes are available at the front desk.
Guestrooms. The resort offers studio, one and two bedroom condos with furnished lanais overlooking the gardens or the ocean. Full kitchens feature all the necessary appliances and utensils, including full size ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers and microwave ovens. Expert Tip. On the other side of the island visitors can check out one of Hawaii's most scenic waterfalls, Akaka Falls, via a paved path that loops through a rainforest. Fantastic views of the 442 foot falls and of nearby Kahuna Falls can be found at the observation point.
