Location. The Welk Resort San Diego is located on 600 tree lined acres in a picturesque valley in Escondido, Calif., 40 miles north of San Diego. The resort is positioned six miles from downtown Escondido in the North County Canyons, 20 miles inland from area beaches.
Hotel Features. This scenic resort offers indoor/outdoor dining at the Canyon Grill Restaurant, which serves American cuisine with mainstays including classic beef dishes, chicken, and seafood. The Welk Resort offers two 18 hole golf courses, seven spas, and a theater that features Broadway style productions. A museum is housed in the resort as a tribute to its founder and namesake, Laurence Welk. Children will be in good company in the five pools which are teeming with playful youngsters. The water park features a 140 foot waterslide, interactive playground and a club house.
