Location. Westwood Guest Cottage is located four miles from the historic village of Unadilla, N.Y., on 11 acres of wooded grounds. The city of Oneonta, offering the National Soccer Hall of Fame, Minor League Baseball at Nehawa Park and many shops and eateries is a 15 mile drive. Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame are a 40 mile drive. There are also opportunities nearby for canoeing, cross country skiing, swimming and fishing in and around the many lakes and rivers in the immediate area.
Hotel Features. Westwood Guest Cottage is a secluded bed and breakfast offering ultimate privacy. The cottage is equipped with a 20 by 40 foot pool and a picnic area with an outdoor gas grill for barbecuing. A canoe is available for trips along the nearby Susquehanna and Unadilla rivers and for fishing on Lake Otsego in Cooperstown. The cottage has a private driveway on a quiet country road, and is flanked by a daylily garden and old fashioned swing.
Guestrooms. This two story efficiency accommodation is a renovated barn with two bedrooms and one bathroom. This unit is fully furnished, and has a separate living room and fully equipped kitchen. The main bedroom has a garden view, an 18th century writing desk with Audobon pictures, and yellow walls with a grand leather club chair. The second bedroom has a view of the forest, blanket chest, hand painted checkerboard, reading chairs and paintings. A washer/dryer is also included.
